JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The quality control manager position develops, implements and manages quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals). The position supervises a team of quality control inspectors and engineers.
Essential Functions

1. Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
2. Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
3. Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
4. Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
5. Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
6. Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
7. Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
8. Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
9. Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
10. Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
11. Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
12. Create and direct environmental test functions and applications.
13. Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
14. Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management within that department.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to odor or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
1. B.S. degree or equivalent experience/education combination.
2. Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
3. Supervisory/management experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. B.S. degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
2. Automotive background is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
