Java Developer

Health Information Designs, LLC is a leading, national provider of pharmacy management technologies. Managed care organizations, Medicaid agencies, and insurance plans utilize our services to solve a wide range of pharmacy and prescription drug management business challenges. We are looking for the ideal candidates to fill the role of Java Developers within our information technology department.
The Software Engineer's role is to define, design, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new and current software applications in support of business requirements for Java platforms in an agile process. This role is also responsible for participating in Release and Sprint planning meetings in addition to peer code and design reviews.

Define, design, develop, test, analyze, and maintain Java solutions for business processes
Participate in Business and Sprint planning meetings
Complete committed work on time
Insure technology standards are followed by all developers on an agile team
Pair program and mentor other developers
Code review others code and design to provide constructive feedback
Other duties as assigned by management

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable degree (or 5+ years equivalent work experience)
3-4 years writing Java web applications and services

Desired Experience and Skills
Pharmacy or medical related software development
Agile software development
Spring framework including Spring MVC
Behavior Driven Development and SOLID OO principles
Message brokers or other asynchronous technologies
RESTful web services
Client side technologies such as Javascript, jQuery, bootstrap, CSS, HTML

HID has offices located in Auburn, Alabama and Media, Pennsylvania. Remote work is also available for the right candidate.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
