Follow the established testing methodologies, while seeking constant improvement
Serves as an integral member of the testing team, and is responsible for reporting testing results clearly and accurately.
Participates in requirements gathering and reviews the requirements for testability
Provides valuable input during product roadmap reviews by offering suggestions for improved support processes and customer experiences based on internal and customer feedback.
Reviews requirements for testability.
Writes test plans, test procedures, test scripts/cases, supporting SQL queries, test summaries and other test documents for the assigned software.
Responsible for coordinating formal reviews of test deliverables.
Executes testing of the various builds, including integration, functional, regression testing and performance tests as defined per project and possibly automation.
May include acting as automation developer of a small testing effort.
Logs defects found to a central defect tracking repository; assists in researching the origin and cause of defects and relays pertinent information and examples to testing, development, Customer Service and project management staff.
Follows up on review and resolution status of logged defects.
Identifies manual testing scripts that have automation feasibility
Recreates reported customer issues for potential bug or data service fix.
Support and strive to attain department and personal goals.
Assists in training and/or mentoring peers
Research and provide documentation on industry technology and changes to regulation. Example: SQL Express and USDA eligibility requirements.
Exhibit initiative in developing knowledge and skills.
Assists with researching, documenting and communicating escalated customer problems. Uses appropriate information systems to document findings, steps taken, and identifies any unresolved items for follow-up.
Works effectively with all departments to ensure a collaborative effort resolving program issues while maintaining effective communications.
Reviews and communicates testing results to Development and Call Center Managers balancing feedback based on regulations, customer, program, and support perspectives.
Required Qualifications
Experience with Requirements, Testing and Automation Tools (TopTeam, HP Testing Suite, Microsoft Testing Suite, Silk Test, TestTrack, OnTime)
Databases: Usage, support and optimization, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL. Understanding of database query formation, joins, indexing, foreign keys, composite keys, views, stored procedures.
Experience in testing websites or applications that leverage Java, .Net, AJAX, JavaScript, Visual Basic, or C#
Experience testing in a point of sale market is a plus
Good understanding of standard formal IEEE testing methodologies and a good understanding of the SDLC process.
Experience testing as a member of a Scrum team is a plus
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, proven ability in determining the root cause of problems and the base set of conditions for their occurrence.
Must have the ability to assess the priority and severity of issues by understanding business objectives, technical costs and user needs, as well as with alternatives for resolution.
Ability to read/interpret project documentation.
Ability to perform a risk evaluation of project requirements and subsequently prioritize the execution of test cases.
Assist in determining the risk of failed/untested test cases.
Proficient in setting up effective and efficient test environments and processes
Working knowledge of automation tools and to be able to determine when to best use these tools
Ability to create batch files and program scripts
Customer Service focused.
Excellent interpersonal skills: (e.g., partnering, conflict management, mentoring), with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Critical thinker with the ability to perform a risk evaluation of project requirements and subsequently prioritize the execution of test cases.
Strong organizational skills.
Computer Operations: Internet usage, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Microsoft Outlook, Instant Messenger, Window desktop operation systems
Experienced in testing large business system updates and changes and working multiple projects simultaneously.
Dedication to meeting deadlines and ensuring quality delivery.
Must be comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently, and possess a sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments.
Ability to successfully adapt & apply industry best practices/concepts while addressing constraints of organizational, political and technical hurdles.
Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability and dedication to meeting aggressive deadlines while ensuring quality delivery.
Minimum Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience required in Child Nutrition, Software Quality Assurance, Computer Science or related field.

years of software testing experience in an IT organization.
Thorough understanding of software development processes and testing methodologies.
Experience in white-box and black-box testing methodologies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
