Express Specialized Recruiting Group is looking for an experienced Injection Molding Tech I for a wonderful, local automotive business in Auburn, AL.
SUMMARY
The incumbent, reporting to the Process Technician, is responsible for all duties as assigned by the Process Technician. The incumbent will be responsible for providing maintenance repair, and preventative and predictive maintenance activities for all production activities. The incumbent will remain pro-active with respect to all facets of the corporation and its operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Mold Changes, setup and start up
Troubleshoot & initiate any necessary repairs to all equipment
Communicate issues found and root causes back to management.
If outside services required for emergency repairs initiate contact and follow up to coordinate service
Shift hand off with both Production Supervisor and in coming Process Technician
Follow daily work plan issued by Process Technician
Plan and complete assigned special projects
Follow shift Supervisors direction as requested
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Investigate process issues and initiate corrective actions
Investigate high scrap areas and initiate corrective action with assistance of Production Supervisor
Complete other task as requested
100% manufacturing support
Any other activities/job duties as directed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

COMPETENCIES
Blue print reading (Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic)
Knowledge of OHSA and MSDS
Ability to problem solve and is proactive
Knowledge of Manufacturing Software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Internet Explorer
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent work experience
Forklift certification
Crane Operator
Millwright, Mold Maker or Electrician certification an asset
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Write routine reports and correspondence
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole umbers, common fractions, and decimals
Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
