AUTOMATION SUPERVISOR METALS MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
Starting salary range: $70-80,000. Benefits and Relocation Assistance
Preference for Alabama and surrounding states applicants
Primary duties and accountabilities
Responsible for establishing preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems
Communicate and consult with department and plant management on all electrical maintenance, installation, and process improvement efforts
Responsible for the energy conservation program
Responsible for monitoring all electrical engineering projects to ensure successful completion with regard to cost, schedule, and safety
Review accuracy of invoices from contractors
Work with contractors to schedule major electrical maintenance and repair projects
Assist project engineers in developing efficient layout and operation of electrical systems
Assist project engineers in developing project documentation defining electrical standards and specifications, plans, blueprints and schematics.
Assist in design of automation and process control systems including PCs, PLCs, AC or DC drives, and controllers
Write and edit PLC programs
Assist maintenance/engineering staff in determining and eliminating root causes for unscheduled downtime
All other duties as assigned by manager
Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairs of power supply and distribution systems, motors, and drives.
Facilitate problem solving and failure analysis and resolution.
2 or 4 year degree from a technical school in Electrical Engineering required.
5 years experience in a manufacturing environment in a maintenance capacity.
Strong knowledge of PLCs and HMIs.
Preferred Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and Allen Bradley.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
Working knowledge of mechanical systems.
Strong abilities with computer systems: MS Office, CMMS (SAP preferred).
Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and systems.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Ability to work in a team-based environment.
Excellent people and leadership skills.
Must be US Citizens or currently holding a VISA that does not require any form of sponsorshipEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
