To keep up with the growing need of care in the area, we have expanded our facilities multiple times.
In 2019, we grew our oncology program significantly with the opening of the Spencer Cancer Center, a $40 million development.
In 2021, we opened the Auburn Medical Pavilion in the Auburn University Research Park.
The Pavilion houses the East Alabama Medical Center Freestanding Emergency Department, outpatient lab and radiology services, an ambulatory surgery center and a specialized Breast Health Center.
Additionally, in 2021, with financial support from the community through our EAMC Foundation, an 11-bed, level III NICU opened at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika to serve the growing patient demand for infant services in the area.
