General Purpose of the Job Function

Ensure that all accidents or injuries are reported immediately and actively participate in the accident investigation and completion of all open action items.

Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Materials Manager for the procurement of supplies and/or equipment for all departments; and performing other related duties as assigned.
Receive and interview vendor representatives to keep abreast of developments, negotiate prices, service, quality or other matters.
In conjunction with the Materials Manager, develop and investigate new sources of supply, make recommendations as to their approval.
Serve as a link between purchasing and maintenance department, using their experience and technical knowledge to make recommendation for approvals
Source project materials within corporate standards, and design specifications working directly with, maintenance, suppliers and sub-contractors ensuring delivery deadlines are adhered to including monitoring long lead-time items/services.
Responsible for negotiating contracts, project planning and completion of project orders; working with various cross-functional teams
Negotiate pricing and contracts with machining and fabrication supplier, including researching sources domestic and internationally.
Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives (inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and premium freight).
Ensure accurate and timely material releases are sent to our suppliers.
Purchase and order all recurring and not recurring items to support the plant as required by production departments.
Establish lead time and minimum inventory requirements for on time ordering and delivery in a highly JIT environment.
Coordinate production releases with component suppliers per supplier agreements.
Assist managers in reconciling variances and assist in the corrective actions to prevent future discrepancies.
Track and record data for department KOIs.
Must be available for inventory counting whenever company deems necessary i.e. weekend, holidays etc.
Act in a leadership role as a backup to the Materials Manager when required.
Performs other duties as directed.
Skills required / desired
Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skill.
Must have strong computer platform skills. Demonstrated computer, Windows NT and organizational skills.
Manufacturing experience with an understanding of processing equipment, product realization and quality standards.
An A.S. Degree or some college is preferred but high school diploma or GED along with diversified procurement and negotiation experience will be accepted in lieu of the degree.
Three years experience in a fast paced work environment with scheduling and materials management experience.
Miscellaneous
Some travel will occur / Passport required. You will receive training to perform your job on an on-going basis concurrent with business operations. Training areas will include safety, quality, continuous improvement and other job specific training that is determined to be an essential part of your job and business operations.
MUST BE US CITIZEN OR CURRENT HOLDER OF A VISA THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY FORM OF SPONSORSHIP. A STABLE WORK HISTORY IS ESSENTIAL.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
